The Illinois Minimum Wage Law does not ignore the tipped employee. Under the law Illinois employers are required to pay their tipped employees at least the minimum wage.

Maybe. It depends on whether you were fired for misconduct. The Illinois Unemployment Insurance Act provides that if an employee is fired for misconduct the employee is not entitled to unemployment benefits.
